4-Inch Wall Band for Selkirk Model HT Chimney

The 4-inch wall band is used to stabilize a compatible Selkirk 4-inch insulated chimney against an exterior wall while maintaining the required spacing from the structure. Selkirk identifies this component as HT4WB.

Current Selkirk literature specifies that the 4-inch wall band is installed just above the tee and every 6 feet thereafter along the exterior chimney run.

Where the Wall Band Is Used

Selkirk specifies installation just above the tee and at 6-foot intervals thereafter. Follow the current installation instructions for the exact layout, fastening method, and required number of supports.

Installation Notes

Do not over-tighten the wall band around the chimney or alter the chimney's shape. Fasten the support securely to suitable structural material and maintain all clearances required by the chimney manufacturer and local code.

The wall band stabilizes the chimney but does not replace the primary wall-support assembly, tee support, roof brace, or other structural support components required by the system design.
