Chinook Wood Stove – Revolutionary Non-Electric Wood Stove with Patented VCV Technology by Flame Innovation

Flame Innovation proudly introduces the Chinook Wood Stove, a groundbreaking non-electric wood stove. Designed to burn cleaner, longer, and more efficiently than any wood stove on the market today. Unlike conventional stoves forced to use electric components to meet strict EPA regulations, the Chinook relies solely on advanced mechanical engineering — featuring the patented Variable Choked Venturi (VCV) Valve system, a technology that has been lab-tested for years and is now available to consumers.

Innovative VCV Valve Technology for Optimal Burn Control

The Chinook’s patented VCV system consists of two distinct valves. The Primary VCV and the Secondary VCV. They automatically regulate air intake based on the stove’s draft, ensuring maximum combustion efficiency with minimal operator input:

  • Primary VCV Valve: Located in the center of the damper slide plate, this valve controls primary air flow. As the chimney draft increases, the Primary VCV disc slides closed to limit primary air, preventing dry, fast burns and extending burn times. When draft slows, the valve reopens automatically, allowing more air for fire revival.

  • Secondary VCV Valve: Featuring a funnel-shaped bore, this valve dynamically adjusts the secondary air flow. When the stove is burning strongly, the valve opens wider to allow more secondary air, improving combustion and reducing emissions. As the fire dies down, the valve restricts secondary air, optimizing burn efficiency at all heat settings.

This purely mechanical system prevents common operator errors, like prematurely closing the primary damper, which usually leads to inefficient burning and increased smoke.
