4-Inch Adjustable Slip Joint Connector
This 4-inch slip joint connector is an adjustable single-wall connector-pipe section that provides approximately 4 to 8 inches of usable adjustment. It is made from 26-gauge black-finished stainless steel with seamless welded construction.
The slip joint is useful when fixed-length connector pipe leaves a small gap between the appliance and the chimney transition. Instead of adding another full pipe section, the adjustable connector lets you fine-tune the final connector length where that type of connection is permitted.
4-Inch Slip Joint Features
- Diameter: 4 inches
- Adjustable length: approximately 4 to 8 inches
- Material: 26-gauge black-finished stainless steel
- Construction: Seamless welded pipe
- Type: Adjustable single-wall connector stovepipe
- Purpose: Fine-tunes connector-pipe height or length
Use It to Fine-Tune the Connector Run
The slip joint works with the straight connector-pipe lengths in the same 4-inch system. It can help align the connector run with the chimney adapter or ceiling transition without creating an unnecessary full-length section.

Compatibility and Safety
Use this slip joint only with a compatible 4-inch connector-pipe system and only where adjustable single-wall connector pipe is permitted by the appliance and installation instructions. Verify the required overlap, fastening method, clearances, and connector configuration before use.
Do not use single-wall connector pipe as a substitute for listed insulated chimney through walls, ceilings, roofs, attics, or other building penetrations.
