We purchased the mini me last year for our cabin build and it has been a great stove. We will only buy stoves from flame innovation from this point forward. Cody was awesome to work with and got us everything we needed.

Great video. We are looking to get one of these but wondered if the pipe can go out the side of the building. We are building a barndominium with a big loft open concept and the ceiling is 22 feet from the bottom floor. We would be placing this on the bottom floor and the ceiling up to the loft floor is 10ft high.

Good Morning Brenda
Thanks for looking and watching our videos. You certainly can go our a side wall with the pipe. You can use some single wall pipe inside as long as you keep the pipe at lest 12″ away from clearance to combustibles. Then where you go out at I would guess about the 7 or 8 ft high mark from the floor you can get a single wall elbow and then put the pipe adapter in that to transition to the HT Class A Chimney pipe and go through the wall. Out side you will have a 45 HT elbow and then continue with the insulated HT pipe up from there until your chimney cap. Any questions please give us a call. Merry Christmas
Dusty

We are looking forward to buying one of these, it looks nice and we like the non-electric functioning, we are in the woods so to say. We’ve lost power for weeks in the past.
Is it okay to use a 6×4 reducer of some kind to connect to our existing dura chimney? We have 2 standard 6″ Dura pipes above the roof line now, and inside we have about 4′ 6″ down to our existing Hearthstone Lincoln.
We bought the Lincoln 2 years ago replacing our Drolet Compaq (big mistake) although the Lincoln burns okay, it just doesn’t get hot enough, it has clogged the top screen several times now and this season we completely removed the catalytic converter improving draft a tiny bit, but the stove is undersized for our needs and burn time doesn’t even come close to manufacturer anticipations. Ultimately the Hearthstone Lincoln is pretty and does function relatively well, it just isn’t cutting muster for our needs and pellets are now becoming more interesting for us storage wise and usage.
So our main concern is connecting to our existing piping.

Hi Zoe
The Mini Me Pellet stove must burn on 4″ Pipe to maintain draft. The bigger the pipe gets, say 6″ , it slows the draft down too much. How many sq feet are you looking at heating. We have the Steelhead wood stove available that would mount up to your existing stove pipe. If you don’t want to burn wood, you can substitute with pressed logs like an energy log or presto log. They are the same price as a ton of pellets. Not duraflame logs that are 5 dollars a piece but natural sawdust pressed logs, essentially a giant pellet. There are pressed logs in the shape of bricks as well, it just depends on the area of the country you are from to let you know what might be available for you to buy.
