The 509 Mini Me Stove
Does the 509 Mini Me Stove require electricity?
The 509 Mini Me Stove does not require any electricity to run.
Is the Mini Me UL or EPA Tested?
At this time the Mini Me Recreational stoves are not UL or EPA tested. They are purpose built for Wall Tents, Bus Conversions, Tiny Homes, Cabins, Yurts, Detached Garages, Ice Shanty’s, Green houses, off grid cabins, etc. etc. They are not rated for Residential use in your home.
Standard clearance for combustibles is 16 to 18 Inches unless you have a minimum of 1” Air gap behind a safety shield of 24g. Or thicker metal or fire board type materials to move the stove and exhaust closer to the wall.
On an average, the Mini Me 8 will burn up to 8 hours on 2 Presto logs. The Mini Me 8 has a capacity of 2 logs.
The Mini Me 12 will burn up to 12 hours on 3 Presto logs. The Mini Me 12 has a capacity of 3 logs.
The Mini Me puts out 8,500 to 14,500 BTU per hour burning Presto Logs.
Do you have a Fresh Air Intake Available?
We have a small pan that will fit under the stove to collect ash on future models that do not have a built in fire pot. This pan will also be adaptable to the 8F / 12F models for fresh air intake. You will attach 3” flexible aluminum tubing to the pan to bring in fresh air from the sidewall of the structure you are mounting the stove in.
What Models of the stove are available and what is the difference between them?
Current Models Available:
Mini Me 8F 2 Log Capacity / built in removable firepot. Requires a shop or ash vac to clean
Mini Me 12F 3 Log Capacity / built in removable firepot. Requires a shop or ash vac to clean
Mini Me 8 2 Log Capacity / Removable Bricks for a firepot assembly and cleaning / Ash Pan (little shorter burn times generally)
Mini Me 12 3 Log Capacity / Removable Bricks for a firepot assembly and cleaning / Ash Pan
(little shorter burn times generally)
The stove is vented vertically with 4” single wall and Class A 4” Insulated exhaust pipe. Do not use Class B gas vent or double wall pellet vent, the exhaust is too hot for those types of pipes.
What type of fuel does the Stove use?
The stove burns all natural compressed sawdust logs. There are many manufacturers and different sizes of logs in both diameter and length. Do not burn logs with additives in them such as wax or other binders. Logs like these are usually in a paper wrapper or the boxes are clearly marked with what is in the logs. Logs in 3 to 3 ¾” will fit into the log feed tube.
Can the Stove burn cord wood, pellets or waste products?
The stove WILL burn split wood, but NOT round wood logs. You will not get the lengthy burn times from normal split cordwood, but if you run out of logs, you will still have heat in the form of split wood. The stove will not burn pellets or other types of waste products, or logs with additives like a duraflame style log. Do not try to burn these types of logs in the stove.
How efficient are logs compared to wood?
Generally, a pallet of densified fuel logs such as Presto Logs, have 1.5 times more BTU content than a cord of wood and store in a third of the space. No more bugs, pitch, or bark mess when you use logs.
Are Manufactured logs a sustainable and clean fuel source?
Yes they are. The all natural sawdust logs are made from a by-product of manufacturing, making them carbon neutral. Logs are made year round and stock piled so the supply will not dwindle in the most used times of winter. The logs burn clean and produce less ash and are more efficient.
How much does the stove weigh?
The stove weighs between 97-111 lbs. Depending on the 8 or 12 Model.
Where is the 509 Mini Me Stove Made?
All 509 stoves are proudly made in the USA in Post Falls, ID. Stateline of Idaho and Washington.
The 509 Optimum Stove
Does the 509 Optimum Stove require electricity?
The stove does require electricity, but not as much as a pellet stove. There is no computer controller, and no auger or auger motor, just an exhaust fan and a room fan. 2.9 Amps total. (About 350 watts)
The stove is vented out the back side normally with 3” Pellet Pipe directly out the side wall of the structure. Then it is best to go up a couple feet and we recommend bring in outside combustion air as well.

Can the Stove burn cord wood, pellets or waste products?
The stove will not burn wood logs, pellets, and other types of waste products.
How efficient are energy logs compared to pellets?
The 509 Optimum stove was built to be extremely efficient. The logs burn more like wood in a wood stove. We are extracting all the heat we can off of the stove and putting it in the room so the exhaust is a lot cooler than pellet stoves. The stove also creates a lot less ash than a pellet stove so you are getting more heat from the same amount of fuel than a pellet stove. You also get radiant heat like a wood stove from the 509 Optimum instead of just convection heat like a pellet stove.
The Optimum Stove puts out 19,500 to 42,500 BTU per hour.

Yes they are. The all natural sawdust logs are made from a by-product of manufacturing, making them carbon neutral. Logs are made year round and stock piled so the supply will not dwindle in the most used times of winter. The logs burn clean and produce less ash.
