Important Support Notes

Because Selkirk specifies the HT4RS as a lateral-support component, do not rely on it as the sole vertical support for the chimney unless the current installation instructions specifically show that configuration. The complete system must use the support components required for the chimney height and route.

Additional roof bracing may be required when the chimney extends a significant distance above the roof or when the installation is exposed to wind, snow, or other structural loads. Follow the current Selkirk instructions rather than relying on a universal rule.
