The Flame Innovations Portable Grill is easy to transport. Take it camping, to the beach, or just a day in your neighborhood park! Weight is approximately 20 lbs. Grill is steel and will rust over time. However, if you want a Stainless Steel grill for it instead just let us know. We are happy to accommodate your request. You can use briquettes on it or wood or flavored pellets. It really is a nice little portable grill. An article on the history of briquettes is a little funny how they started out. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Briquette Can you imagine cooking over binders like tar? haha. Not my favorite smell let alone I’m sure flavor. Henry Ford was actually involved in briquette manufacturing. Look that one up.
Rocket stoves are great to cook over and ours are portable too! https://flameinnovation.com/product/rocket-stove/ You can burn all kinds of things laying around the yard or in the woods for a quick hot fire. Rocket stoves have been around since Roman times. the theory anyway. Ours are a little different today with flattened rolled steel instead of what it took to make one back then. A lot of them were in stone and clay and were part of an actual oven in a hut or home.
Portable Grill is still a great choice if you want a little bigger surface to cook on. For example, you don’t need a pan for this grill. Secondly, you can get some nice sear marks on your favorite steak or burger. Most importantly, I think you could fit about 30 or more hot dogs on here at once. Subsequently, feed a crowd with one little grill.
In conclusion, when you are done cooking, pull off the grill and build a little bigger fire. You will have a nice fire to sit around
